The ceremonial bathing of the deities takes place before Rath Yatra in the Puri festival cycle. It is a temple rite, not an instruction to bathe an image at home or a date calculated here.
After Snana Yatra, the deities traditionally remain out of ordinary public view during Anasara. Follow temple announcements for darshan arrangements; do not assume normal access continues.
The deities are ceremonially brought toward their chariots in Puri’s characteristic procession. The temple describes the order as Sudarshana, Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannath. The annual time is confirmed by the temple, not by a puja window.
The Gajapati king ceremonially sweeps the chariots, expressing service and humility. Observe from authorized areas and leave room for the ceremony and staff.
